Hello lovelies, I wanted to share some of the work I was commissioned to do by the lovely Kelsey Genna. I adore her bridal designs, each dress is so darling and unique. Her latest collection is absolutely stunning and as a bride to be myself I've been cooing over the petalled dresses and delicate lace detailing on her newest gowns. Perfect.

Happy new year lovelies! I hope you all had a super lovely festive break and have some fun things planned for 2014. It's shaping up to be a pretty good year so far, with mini adventures to be had, lots of lovely illustrating work, wedding planning and fun times. I still need to find myself a good diary and calendar, I'm lost without them, although my phone and ipad (thanks Matt) make up for all the digital planning, there's nothing quite like pen & paper (or in my case pink paper and felt tips) 

I've been drinking lots of tea over Christmas, mainly in floral jumpers, visiting family, watching copious amounts of festive films and we had a LOTR marathon, fun drives listening to soundtracks, carrying lip balm everywhere, glitter and champagne

Have you got your copy of the latest lovely music issue of Cellardoor magazine? It's a really amazing issue, with lovely articles including the beautiful Kate Nash, super cool Bastille, the wonderful The Staves to name a few, flip through for gorgeous picks of pastel headphones, hummingbird watches, flamingo satchels & super cool bright pink song lyric prints by Fizzy Lemonade, there's also an amazing fashion shoot by Holly Booth inspired by Wuthering Heights as well as some really lovely things to do before spring suggested by Daisy Laverock-Willis with super sweet illustrations by Yasmin Mason. My silver-locked, peach-cheeked, diamond-collared illustrated girl makes an appearance too, with her retro pastel pink headphones, I wonder what she's listening to. Today I think it would be HAIM & Lorde. What's on your November playlists? I'd love to know!

GILDED BUTTERFLIES

Hello lovelies, I was commissioned by the super lovely Valeria of Gilded Butterflies to illustrate a personal portrait. 

Valeria's beautiful blog is a darling place with enchanting photography that captures the delicate details in our ever changing world.

I always adore working on such wonderful projects, especially as it brought our two imaginations together and turned into something really magical.

I wanted to also say a massive thank you to Valeria for being such a treasure to work with and allowing me to draw her amazing Rapunzel-like hair and pretty features, she's like a little piece of cake as they would say on Marie Antoinette.

Teenage queen of pastels and prettiness, who wouldn't want to dress up as Marie Antoinette? Macaroon hued dresses, peach hair, floral crowns and cherry lips. Throw on the film's soundtrack, hand out glasses of your favourite fizz and eat decadent cream laden pastries from Laduree.
