CELLARDOOR: THE MUSIC ISSUE

Have you got your copy of the latest lovely music issue of Cellardoor magazine? It's a really amazing issue, with lovely articles including the beautiful Kate Nash, super cool Bastille, the wonderful The Staves to name a few, flip through for gorgeous picks of pastel headphones, hummingbird watches, flamingo satchels & super cool bright pink song lyric prints by Fizzy Lemonade, there's also an amazing fashion shoot by Holly Booth inspired by Wuthering Heights as well as some really lovely things to do before spring suggested by Daisy Laverock-Willis with super sweet illustrations by Yasmin Mason. My silver-locked, peach-cheeked, diamond-collared illustrated girl makes an appearance too, with her retro pastel pink headphones, I wonder what she's listening to. Today I think it would be HAIM & Lorde. What's on your November playlists? I'd love to know!

THEY HAVE A SECRET WORLD IN THE TWILIGHT

This last week my sister has been to stay and so we've been a little bit addicted to top knots and messy waves, tea, endless episodes of the inbetweeners, dreaming of autumn, cherry hair, picking up wooly jumpers, burning pumpkin candles, lots of laughing, the most amazing great expectations (the douglas booth one), pretty cakes and impromptu dancing to Beyonce

WAIT FOR SUMMERTIME

Lately I've been working on some pretty lovely blog headers for some very lovely people, one of these I wanted to share with you as it was super nice to play around with typography and texture as well as hand drawn elements. I was commissioned by the awesome Arabella of Arabella Luisa to illustrate a blog header for her music blog. I wanted to create something fresh and unique but also feminine and tailored to the style and feel of Arabella's blog and writing. So here it is lovelies! Definitely have a look at Arabella's blog, she's got interviews, playlists and reviews on there as well as snippets of festivals and music events which are amazing!

Arabella has inspired me to make even more playlists and I've been listening to a real mix lately. I'd love to know- what's on your Autumn playlists darlings?

KEEP TRYING AND YOU WILL NEVER TALK ME OUT OF IT

This song reminds me that summer is on its way (even if it does seem like a very long way away)

BLOOD RED SHOES ♥

may 2 5

may 2 2

may 2 4

may 2 1

Wednesday I was woken up too early by our silly neighbours, I wish they'd be more considerate. Anyway the day went on, laundry and other chores and we were going to see Blood Red Shoes that night, they actually tweeted about a pair of tickets and I was lucky enough to win them so when we got there we were on the guestlist. We had lovely drinks and a really good night, I love the atmosphere and energy at gigs, especially ones at tiny venues. The band were awesome, (they made a lot of noise for only two people) as were their support THE CAST OF CHEERS who were super cool, they have some pretty amazing videos, they sort of remind me of videos by OK, GO!
